Here in Nixa Missouri they have a celebration called "SUCKER DAYS". It is a city holiday where back in the "olden days" people used to skip school and work to go and catch the local fish here called suckers. They have a parade and main street is shut down with booths with lots of yummy food including local sucker fish to eat. This year the Nixa Council of PTA's decided to enter a float in the parade and for the last 4 days (and nights) we have been working on this gigantic fish! The body was made by Bass Pro Shop when President Bush Senior was here for a visit quite a few years ago, and has been sitting in an old lot ever since then....My great friend Wendy thought it would make a perfect float and she asked Bass Pro if we could have it, as you can tell they said sure and we have had a lot of fun getting it ready for the parade. The top picture is of the fish before we started.

We had a lot of laughs getting covered in glue doing paper mache!

the kids were good helpers!

This is Fred all finished!

We were so proud of all our hard work!

Ready for the parade to start!
