Our Memorial Weekend happenings

This weekend we decided to take a road trip. There is so much to see in the state of Missouri so we went to a few this weekend. Our first stop was to Hannibal Missouri the boyhood home of Samuel Clemens-the famous Mark Twain. Brandon had recently finished reading Tom Sawyer and we had a wonderful time there. This year they are celebrating 175 years since his birth, 125th year of the pinnacle of his work The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, and 100 years since his death.
Next we went to Marceline Missouri, The boy hood home of Walt Disney. The boys enjoyed it and so did Schon and I. We took lots and lots of pictures so make sure you scroll down to see them all! Enjoy!!!

A visit to Mark Twain Cave Hannibal Missouri

Missouri is also know as the cave state and there are alot of them. This one is located in Hannibal Missouri and was well know by the people of Hannibal including Mark Twain.

Jesse James was known to use this as a hideout. He even left his name on the cave wall.
